Rail Administrator in Farnham, Surrey

Vital Human Resources Ltd, is a subsidiary of Morson Group and a dedicated, highly regarded recruitment business. Vital are looking to recruit a Rail Administrator to provide full support to our growing Farnham office.

Role: Rail Administrator

Location: Vital Human Resources Ltd | Unit 10, Guildford Road Trading Estate, Farnham, Surrey, GU9 9PZ

Hours: Full Time / Mon – Fri / 9am – 530pm

Salary: £25k per annum

Job Description:

  • Answer incoming calls and pass on messages

  • Daily use of the PeopleSoft Rail Planner

  • Responsible for ensuring all planned works are planned safety and in line with the Network Rail Life Saving Rules and Sentinel Scheme Rules

  • Daily assigning of operatives to shifts using boards client call off sheets

  • Identify problems, exceedances or breaches of Network Rail Life Savings Rules and Sentinel Scheme Rules and create and distribute daily problems emails to the resourcing team

  • Identify Fatigue Risk Assessment assessments that need completing

  • Complete Fatigue Risk Assessments with operatives and upload to the Rail Planner as a record for audit purposes

  • Complete Fatigue Risk Index calculations for Sub Sponsorship requests and advise the compliance team if shifts are compliant and can be accepted

  • Assist the resourcing team with ad hoc duties when required.

  • Communicate with Site Operatives verbally and electronically.

  • Communicate with clients.

  • Issue PPE

Additional Info: Full training will be given. Preferable experience using a computer however no prior industry experience required, and full PeopleSoft & Rail Planner training provided.
