Job Details

Our long-established, market leading Client is looking to expand their Stores team.

Primary purpose: Carrying out routine manual and administrative duties involved in the daily operation of the stores.

Key responsibilities:

  • Record stock received, and book out issued stock on the computer system (ERP) to keep accurate record of stock levels.
  • Check that incoming goods correspond with the delivery note and recording receipt of this stock in the ERP system
  • Produce a goods-received note (GRN), match up with the delivery note, and pass on to purchasing department where required.
  • Issue of stock, making up kits for production as required.
  • Ensuring that stores are kept orderly adhering to the Stores 6S principles.
  • Involvement in month/year end activities.
  • Control of defective/discrepant material and associated processes.
  • Individual responsibility for ensuring own safety. Maintain a responsible approach to H&S.
  • Participate and contribute to both the 6S & Orange Excellence programmes.

Education/Qualifications

Counterbalance Forklift truck certificate (8 ton preferred but not essential)

Pivot Truck experience (not essential as training will be given)

Professional skills/experience

Experience in a manufacturing environment

Previous stores experience required

Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems required

Previous experience of 5S/6S working environment preferred

Personal skills/experience

Ability to work on own initiative

Self-motivating

IT literate (e.g. MS Office packages)

Numerate and able to follow guidelines

Flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities when required (inc. Shift pattern)

Effective team player with a positive attitude.

Excellent communication skills

A quality led approach to your work. You take pride in your work and ownership for meeting the required quality standards.

Focussed and able to cope with demanding production schedules

Hours of work could be dayshift 0700-1600hrs with overtime opportunities. Also, there is possibility of night shift from 1900 - 0600hrs however, this will be discussed.
