We are taking practical steps to transform our operational processes in 2022. An initiative led by our OLE Operations Manager Mark Larvin and Isolations Manager Ian Brandrick will result in most of the planning, risk assessment issues and management reports will become paperless. The first step is to issue tablets to all our OLE Isolation workers so they can receive, understand and acknowledge all information sent and receive updates in real time to ensure safe delivery of Isolations.
Inefficient and outdated paper-based processes including track-side safety briefings, track access/resource plans, work package plans/risk assessments, and management reports will all become a thing of the past, replaced by user-friendly mobile apps, digital forms, and automated processes that will help the industry communicate and operate more effectively, learn from mistakes, and ultimately contribute to safer railway environment.
